I've given my characters a healthy dose of Veritaserum and now they have to tell the truth. What does this mean for you? Ask my characters questions about anything and everything and they will truthfully answer it. So, go ahead and ask what you want. He can't beat around the bush with half-truths.

Um. Right now (in the future now) Rory has people that he likes, trusts and has sex with. He doesn't hide this aspect of his life from Marcus so much as he dances a fairly careful dance, studying reactions minutely and responding accordingly. He won't give the boy undue control over his sex life because holy crap, but neither will he tolerate anyone being any degree of asshat to his son.

He'd have a tough time picking out one part of the whole experience, but he really loves the shared pleasure, the upward spiral that comes from giving the people what they want and feeling it pour back into him. Connection and communication like an electrical current.

Elf baby was telling Ambria that he's like >< that close with his da earlier. And that he left Loopy home with him while he's running amok this summer. He's all sorts of adorable once in a while.

What's it like to really make it in the music industry, and do you ever wish you didn't?

(gonna answer this with future!Rory, because present-day Rory doesn't quite feel like he has made it yet. I know, I know ...)

Making music is of course my passion, something I'd do whether or not it was profitable. Working with the music industry is something else again. Rather like waltzing with an elephant in that it's massive, short-sighted and quite capable of crushing you if you aren't very careful. Fortunately I started with Serptichore Records, a smaller independent label, and have stayed with them over the years.

But as far as regrets go, I only have a few. Most of those involve the difficulties of raising my son under media scrutiny. I often wonder if the advantages my celebrity has given him truly outweigh the disadvantages.
